A Walk
I went for a walk today
The clouds were white,
The sky was blue
I felt the wind suffuse
The birds, they sang
This life can be mundane
The holy moment,
Not far from here
Comes all too quick
Then disappears
A flash, a shudder
Creeps down my spine
I have encountered
A source divine
Within me,
My soul screams
Begs to be expressed,
To be seen
Lay not folly to ignorant men
We lay waste to our dear friends
There are those less fortunate than I
Who see no source
When they look to the sky
The wind is not a caress from the All
Their fall is none but their own
To them I say,
Wake up good sir!
It's the break of day!
Look within and you shall find
That spark of life
That spark divine
If I had more words to say
I'd say them and quietly pray
That you may one day find
That God above,
God below
God within
Is all we know
